A gemstone (also called a gem, fine gem, jewel, precious stone, or semi-precious stone) is a piece of mineral crystal which, in cut and polished form, is used to make jewellery. It is known that planets affect our energy levels, and thereby, our lives. As per principles of Vedic astrology, gems, also known as precious stones, gemstones are associated with nine planets, namely Mercury, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu and Moon.
